Summary:
|
At the close of the fiscal year, a district may, under Education Code Sections 42601-42602, identify and submit to the County Superintendent of Schools appropriation transfers as approved by the Board of Trustees. The transfers are between the District's designated, unappropriated fund balances, and/or any expenditure classifications that are necessary to permit the payment of obligations to the District that were incurred during that school year. Any such transfers will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for ratification as part of the unaudited actuals. Transferring funds in this manner reduces audit exceptions and allows the District to pay its obligations.
