Summary:
|
Due to extensive natural gas infrastructure damage caused by age and deteriorated conditions at San Gorgonio Middle School, immediate repair and remediation work was necessary for the District to continue providing education and other essential public services to students and staff. The conditions caused by the gas leak constituted an emergency in accordance with Public Contract Code sections 1102 and 20113. Accordingly, it was necessary for the District to immediately enter into contracts to repair and remediate the water damage at the school.
