Summary: The Board of Trustees of the Beaumont Unified School District (the “Board of Trustees”) upon receipt of a petition as provided in Section 53318 of the Government Code of the State of California instituted proceedings to form Community Facilities District No. 2025-1 of the Beaumont Unified School District (“CFD No. 2025-1” or the “District”) pursuant to the Mello-Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982, commencing with Section 53311 of the Government Code of the State of California (the “Act”), as amended, pursuant to Resolution 2024-25-35 adopted by the Board of Trustees on the date hereof (the “Resolution of Intention to Establish the District”) to finance (1) the purchase, construction, modification, expansion, improvement or rehabilitation of the school and water facilities identified in Attachment “B” to the Resolution of Intention to Establish the District and incorporated herein by this reference (collectively, the “Facilities”); and (2) the incidental expenses to be incurred in financing the Facilities and forming and administering CFD No. 2025-1 (the “Incidental Expenses”). Resolution No. 2024-25-36 states the intention of the District to incur bonded indebtedness for CFD No. 2025-1 up to a maximum aggregate amount or $20,000,000.00 maximum agreement amount.

Recommendation: The administration recommends the Board of Trustees of the Beaumont Unified School District adopt Resolution No. 2024-25-36, Declaring Intention to Incur Bonded Indebtedness within Community Facilities District No. 2025-1 of the Beaumont Unified School District.
