Summary:
|
Due to extensive water damage caused by the rupture of a water supply line at Highland Academy Charter School, immediate repair and remediation work was necessary for the District to continue providing education and other essential public services to students and staff. The conditions caused by the water line rupturing constituted an emergency in accordance with Public Contract Code sections 1102 and 20113. Accordingly, it was necessary for the District to immediately enter into contracts to repair and remediate the water damage at the school.
