Summary:
The purpose of the School Violence Prevention Program is to improve security on school grounds through school safety programs and technology. Funding under this award program will be used by the school jurisdiction to implement evidence-based programs to improve school security and promote a positive learning environment for all students.

The administration recommends the Board of Trustees of the Beaumont Unified School District accept a grant award from the Department of Justice for the Community Oriented Policing Services School Violence Prevention Program.
